Wilma Chan

Alameda County honors the life and legacy of Supervisor Wilma Chan.

We remember her as a champion of community, a fierce leader, and a trusted colleague.

The first Asian American to serve on our Board of Supervisors and as majority leader in the California State Assembly, Wilma was a champion for health care coverage for all, senior services, early childhood education, environmental health, jobs, and economic development.

A distinguished leader, colleague and friend. Wilma's contributions to our diverse communities and legacy will live on for generations.
